John is the Regional Chair for BCG's Asia Pacific Region. Before his current role, John managed BCG's Greater China system for 8 years.

John spent the first half of his career in BCG's Boston office which he joined in 1982 and was elected to Partner and Managing Director in 1989. He moved to Hong Kong in 1995 to manage BCG's Greater China system. He was promoted to Senior Partner and Managing Director in 1998.

John has worked in a variety of industries in the US and China, but his primary focus is healthcare and consumer goods. Before joining BCG, he worked in specialty chemicals development for Milliken & Co., a large textile and chemical firm based in South Carolina.

John received his BA degree in chemical engineering with first-class honors from Imperial College, London University, an MS in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

John and his wife, Gisele, have two young children (a son and a daughter).
