Holger is a Partner based in BCG’s Beijing office. He holds a doctorate degree and a master degree in economics from the Koblenz School of Corporate Management, where he became a scholar of the German National Academic Foundation. He also holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, where he received a Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. To help local banks to transition to high performing competitors in an increasingly liberalized Chinese financial services market is Holger’s primary focus, bringing to bear his expertise in strategy, operations, IT and change management. He also supports foreign banks, insurances, asset managers and auto finance companies to define winning entry and growth strategies in Greater China and Asia. In 1996 Holger joined BCG in the Frankfurt office and moved to Beijing in 2003, where he acts as the managing director of the BCG China Banking Institute, developing insights and solutions for the China banking industry. Holger lives with his wife and two children in Beijing and enjoys spending time with them, if possible outdoors. He also likes to play Jazz piano and guitar, composing songs and doing recordings, is fascinated by Chinese culture, from calligraphy to martial arts and is a fluent mandarin speaker. |
