I made up my mind to pursue a career in consulting the day I enrolled for my MBA at Wharton. Not knowing much about business before that, I liked the idea of challenging myself as a consultant. I thought it would be fascinating to learn about many different industries and business problems. I'm glad to say I'm still enjoying consulting 8 years later. Problem solving has become a way of life for me. I see our work at BCG Greater China as about impact and contribution. Whether it is helping multinational companies to succeed in China or local clients to compete on the global stage, we work at the forefront of industry development on issues at the top of CEOs' agendas. Behind the scenes, we are actually helping to shape business practices and competitive landscapes. It is very satisfying to realize that my work is adding a piece to the growing mosaic that is a strong, modern Chinese economy. BCG China is a truly exceptional workplace. What gets me excited about my job is working with a group of talented and exceptional people who set very high standards for themselves. Our work involves the relentless pursuit of high quality thinking and valuable insights for our clients – and this takes place in a very supportive and collegial atmosphere. |
