After working with BCGers for half a year as a client, I found myself very attracted by this group of talented people. Moreover, this is such an interesting career that one can get exposure to different industries and different functions, and work with people in all walks of life. Then I declared in my MBA application essay, “My career goal is to become a consultant.” After graduation, I realized my dream by finding a career that can always challenge myself and being challenged and supported at the same time. Now my understanding on consulting goes beyond the initial diversity attractions. I value the opportunities of interacting with not only the top management of the client, but also with the working team on the ground; of incorporating the systematic probing with hypothetical thinking, and of presenting our solutions to the client and helping them make things happen. Also, BCG is such a flat and cozy organization that you can make friends with people at different stage of their career. As for my passion, I love movies, both watching and making (if I have enough spare time and resources). |
